Rottendog MPUWS STERN/SEGA White Star CPU replaces: #520-5136-00

Compatible with all pre-Atmel #520-5300 games, Apollo 13 (SEGA) through Terminator 3 (Stern)

Not compatible with (ATMEL): Lord of the Rings, Ripley’s Believe it or Not, Elvis, Grand Prix, The Sopranos, NASCAR.

BSMT2000 sound processor Chip-set is not compatible with Atmel chip-set CPU #520-5300 used in later Stern games. The BSMT2000* was used in early production Terminator 3 machines. To identify your chip-set, look for the BSMT2000* 40 pin chip in the center of the cpu.

Board Does not come with Micro processors, game roms, BSMT2000 sound processor. Does include SRAM and 3V Lithium Battery

This board is a replacement for the original Stern Pinball  MPU processor & Soundboard. Sega Part #Sega Board #520-5136-00 rev D This board replaces the BSMT2000 version (early).

This board is shipped to our distributors WITHOUT the following chips which can be easily swapped out from the original board.

Installation instructions:

There are two different EPROM sizes used for the U7 Sound ROM and the W6 jumper needs to match the EPROM size needed for your game.  If U7 is a 27C1001 then the jumper at W6 should be installed.  Earlier games where U7 is a 27C512 EPROM should remove the jumper at W6 for proper operation.
